well the new car smell in my s2k is finally gone, so now i want to get some kind of air freshiner. do you have have any suggestions? i think a majority of people use the japanese/asian type ones that smell really fruity, but i am wondering if anyone has ever used the new car smell scent? if so does it really smell like the name describes?

My wife has a 2001 Expedition with leather and my primary car is a 2000 accord Coupe. I use a light spritz of a "New Car Smell" product that I purchase at Wal-Mart on both of them when they get a bath. It resembles the smell of a new car. On my wife's Expedition it mixes nicely with the leather smell. My S2000 is still too new to need an air freshener. When it does, I think I'll try to find a freshener with a leather scent. Good Luck

I always wonder how an air freshener works in a convertable?

I smell new car when I get in, then the top goes down, then I smell nature...or cow manure right now....which I suppose is still nature.

If someone has something that works with the top down then I'd like to hear about it.
