Anodized vs Clear coat
Is there anyway to test to see if my lips on my wheels are anodized or gloss coated.
I have a set of SSR GT3's, from the factory they come clear coated, but the guy I bought them off had them reworked and he is not sure if the place clear coated them or anodized them.
Problem is my place where im going to get them polished, wont touch them if they are anodized. I need to find out. Any way to test.
I honestly think they are gloss coated, thats my guess, but my wheel guy swears they are anodized.

Wanabe,
I checked with him, indeed he stated that from the factory they are clear coated.
Problem is I bought the wheels used, and they were polished but the guy is unsure if they where clear coated or anodized after being polished.

I found online that you can check if its anodized by seeing if the lip is conductive or not. Problem is that it only shows if the lip anodized or not, it doesnt tell you whether its anodized or clear coated. I would think clear coat would also insulate the metal as well.
