Default Anything before 303 application?

I am about to do my first interior/exterior detail this weekend. I picked up the 303 at a boating supply store but is says it is only a protectant. Is there something I should use prior to the 303? I was considering just a damp no-lint rag. Any suggestions?

Also, I am planning to wax with Miguire's gold, should I apply a polish before. I was thinking it should not be necessary for the first app.

Thanks

303 makes a top clener that works really well. Most people just use a very mild car soap (Zaino), or straight water first. Be sure to get all of the dirt and dust off first and use the 303 fairly sparingly.

Caution! The spray will tend to get all over the paint and windows. I use a towel to mask areas from overspray. Its helpful to have someone hold the towel for you.

Good luck!

I'm a fan of cleaning before administering "protectants" , polishes or conditioners.

I use Porsche's Cabriolet Car Care Kit - Soft top shampoo, soft top spray conditioner, plastic glass cleaner, plastic glass polish/conditioner, interior leather cleaner & conditioner, and exterior wax.. and everything all the products I used exceeded all of previous expectations..

I think the only thing I'm going to change is the wax.
