i wonder why you have two swirl removers...
other than that, the combo should work (given the choice of only the two light polishes that you mention, i would go with the meg- btw, a paint cleaner is a very light polish of the same grade as a swirl remover... so they really are pretty much the same thing). i look forward to your report (and pics if you can)-
you might already know, but the first step is the inspection to determine what really needs to be done. wash it, then look at the paint carefully and feel it with the backs of your fingers. if its not really smooth all over you might want to clay first. and if you saw swirls, then one of your swirl removers would be the trick. of course, finish it up with your wax.

Another trick is to stick your fingers inside a cellophane wrapper (the stuff that comes off the packages of gum or cigarettes) and run it across the paint, feeling with your fingertips. The cellophane will enhance the feel of any contaminants bonded to the paint.
i tried using the meguiars polish but i dont think it has any abrasives in this formula... i think it is made too user friendly... no removal of any scratches or swirls.... just made the color more "wet" looking
the turtle wax polish compound is only 1.97 for the paste and i jsut never heard anything good about it....

I agree about ditching that turtle wax polish compound. That's the old-school paste in a jar stuff (if memory serves me right). It will probably do more harm than good.
Also, like Ubetit stated, there are a lot of different Meguiars polishes. Let us know which one exactly you have. Is there a number on the bottle? Maybe find it on the net somewhere and provide us a link to it.

That's not much of a polish.
You may have to order online. The professional polish series is awesome. # 83, 82, 81, and 80 are all nice with different levels of abrasiveness. I've been using Optimum polish as of late. It's a great all-purpose product that really works.
