Appling Sealant with a PC
I want to apply a sealant to the wife's civic.
I have Finish Kare #2180 poly/seal sealant and will use the PC with a black ccs pad to apply.
At what speed (rpm) should I do this?
I have only used the PC so far for polishing, not aplying sealants, glazes, or waxes, but I am going to venture into that territory.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

ubetit- i respectfully wish to offer the contrarian opinion...
yes, it is completely an opinion- so neither of us needs to be right, and i understand and respect your point of view.
i like to apply products with the pc for several reasons. the first is for a newbe- learning the feel of the machine before going for the polishing. applying lsps with the machine gives the feel and you learn the machine (machine feel, cord management, etc).
i also like it because i find that the machine applies the least amount of product in the most even coat- i just can not beat it by hand.
finally, its more fun!!
roger is not a newbe, cause he has already polished, but i will be interested in his thoughts after he uses the machine.
btw, i also use it sometimes to buff out the product after it has cured. i use a lambswool pad with an mf bonnet over it.
the primary disadvantages of the machine over hand are:
1. the pad will absorb some product which will be wasted
2. the set up and take down (includes pad cleaning) is more time consuming than the hand method
as to speeds, i keep the speed down- no benefit to using a high speed, imo for application and removal of synthetic or wax.
experiment and use the speed that you are most comfortable with.
tip- if you want to apply a wax over the synthetic- use a rubber glove and turn the wax jar over. tap it and the wax will come out. then you can rub the wax on the pad. put the wax back in the jar and you are ready!
lookin forward to seeing some pics crazys s2k!!
