Default Bad Water

Hey guys, this might be a little wacko, but I'm sure I'm asking the right people. The water from our well is really crappy. It's full of minerals and other icky stuff you wouldn't want on your car. Does anyone run a filter in line with their hose? If so, could you point me in the right direction? Thanks!

I guess you could also use the mr clean autodry thing, but you'd have to replace filters more often.

Mr. Clean is supposed to last upwards of 10 washings. I never get more than five. Usually three or four, because there are a lot of minerals in my tap water, Northern New Jersey. Mostly calcium chloride, which really spots when it dries.

I use the Mr. Clean sparingly, usually during the winter months. A good rinsing car detergent, like Gold Class, and one made by Wurth, very expensive, not really worth it.. I have also tried Turtle Wax (big blue bottle), not bad but does not eliminate spots.

I really like the Simonize, forget the name, gold label, minimal rinsing and lightly towel dry, with almost not spotting. Removes most dirt except the really greasy stuff. Nice shine, don't know what is in the stuff but it behaves very much like the Mr. Clean, which is supported to have sheeting ingredients so you don't have to dry.

I got an email from DF Towel a few weeks back that they are now carrying a water filter. Their filter is $50.
