Default mr. clean auto dry

At pepboys they are selling the regular non-pro kit for 9.99 and wanted to know what your experiences on this unit are. Does it leave water spots? Is it worth the money with the additional refills, etc?

thanks.

doesnt leave spots and we have had several reviews here...

most concluded that the filter is good, but the package is not really that helpful unless you have water problems.
keep in mind that you are posting up in a forum with crazies who love to dry their cars!!
(o.k., there are a couple a normal folks here too!)

if we couldnt dry our cars, what would we do with the leaf blowers, water blades and those great big blues? !!

the filter seems to be good at curing water problems-
like if you have too much mineral in your water and you get water spots...

will try to find some old mr. clean reviews and post up here:

i havent found it to deliver all that well. I bought it for my last car (which was also black) and I had to dry by hand to avoid water spots.

Works as advertised but it's a solution to a problem that i don't have.

keep your car waxed, use the waterfall drying method and dry your car with one 16x16" MF towel in 5 minutes.

It works pretty well, but the filter needs replacing often. It's not much more work for me to dry the car by hand anyways, so I didn't think it was worth it. Now if I had a big SUV or something, I'd probably give the product another shot

Yeah like everyone says it works real well but you go through filters fast and at $10 bucks a pop is it really worth your money to save time? I like it (use it on my S once a week) but god help you if that filter turns even teh slightest brown (indicator) it'll leave some nasty water marks. I also advise after washing your car rinse it than do a really quick soap job over the entire car than wash that off then auto dry it. Got some really great results doing that since after all the soap reacts to the auto dry spray.

i like this thing, but i swear i have gone through 3 of them always having the problem that the damn thing breaks at the mounting point. all of mine have developed leaks, so i got frustrated and just stopped using it.

is it just me and my bad luck, don't your mr. cleans leak too?
