unfortuently for me, rinsing the car with water only does not work...the dust still sticks to the car (even with fresh wax).

You guys must have special "teflon non-stick" dust over there...We have to "wash" our cars with soap and stuff...physicall remove it..

chaka_01:
the duster wont swirl as long as you use it correctly- as indicated above, use it to remove basic dust and not as a mop! a very light dusting should get the car back to clean condition. after the dusting, if you see some haze (not dirt, just film) then a detailers spray will bring the car back to freshly detailed condition.
saint_spinner:
what wax/synthetic are you using? dust should not stick. dirt does!

Yup...we have a special kind of dust when mixed with the sea air (I'm in Culver City) comes right off with a little high pressure from the standard garden hose. Of course being very careful not to hit the top with high pressure.

I'm using NXT! It must be road dirt then...sometimes when washing the car (and I miss a spot after drying), that spot still has a layer of dirt or dust or whatever.....

I guess part of the reason is that the only place I use a high pressure washer is to clean the radiotor...I always use streams of water when washing as to not remove the wax...
