Default Body Kit Removal

Not sure if this is the proper place to put this, but since everyone in here cares about the way their car looks, thought I'd start here.

How would I go about removing rear skirts that have been double-sided taped to the OEM bumper? Would it require repainting?

it shouldnt. It depends on how the bumper was prepped when they applied the skirt, sometimes the instructions call for light scuffing of the paint in order for the tape to properly adhere to the surface, if they did this when it was installed then yes it may call for a repaint. If they just cleaned the surface then all you need to do is remove the left over tape with adhesive remover and then lightly polish any imperfections out of the paint.

I hope this helps, ps when we gonna do that detail

Hey outcrnuru..

I still haven't called Aero-Colors to get a quote yet. I also have a bad rear bumper that needs to be replaced. I was hoping to find one prior to letting you go at my car! Soon... hopefully! Thanks for the reply.
