brake dust on wheels
No matter how many times i clean one of my rpf-1's i cant get the brake dust/shards? off of it. The surface of the wheel feels rough and u can see the brake material embedded in it...Any cleaning item you guys would use to pull it off? maybe a clay bar?! lemme know if you have any ideas....or want a pic of it...

I had caked on brake dust, it was awful, the wheels looked like trash. I tried everything local to no avail. Finally I bought Sonax Full Effect and 10 minutes later I had my wheels looking brand new. Absolutely incredible, in fact. Worth every penny.

I've used both wheel cleaning products. There are some benefits and downsides to each one.
Sonax tends to be more watery as to where the P21S GEL actually clings to the surface of the wheel better. Cleaning strength wise, the Sonax is barely more noticeable that it's stronger. It looks like it incapsulates the contaminants and just runs it off by agetating the surface with a brush of some sort(I use Swissvax wheel brush). P21S does the same thing as well. P21S GEL actually works better in any weather/heat conditions that I've been using it in. You could let it dwell much longer than the Sonax and it's water activated.
The biggest benefit to using the Sonax is the color changing effect from neon Green to Blood RED. It shows where exactly the wheel needs more attention for cleaning/protection later on. But that Blood Red color does stain your driveway so becareful.
P21S is a much safer solution to your hands and requires less amount to clean with; the clinging effect helps alot.
Price wise, it's pretty close call. I currently use the Sonax Full effect, and I love it, but the volume that I have to spray is probably twice as much more than P21S so I might go back to it.
They both work really well.
I would score them overall: (For cleaning, amount, price, and etc)
Sonax: 9/10 (because of blood Red effect)
and
P21S wheel Gel: 8.9~9/10 (Because of Clinging effect and barely more expensive)
To answer where to get it....it's only a online deal I believe. I would suggest getting it through Detailers Domain just because of the 10% S2ki discount code, unless if you wait for the season special promotion code.

Perhaps you could give your rotors a real clean? I know I'm not answering the question, per se, but I find after I use this stuff, I spend A LOT less time cleaning wheels.
