Default Carnuba content in P21S

A friend who is a die hard Swissol fan is being tempted at the moment by my results with P21s. However he wanted to know the carnuba content on it and we looked on the tub and at some of the website and can't see it.

Anyone know, I appreciate we may have missed it whilst drinking.

I bet it is in the 30-40% range.

BTW, 100% carnauba comes in a brick and is just about as hard as one.

Zymol Vintage at 61% is the highest carnauba content i've ever seen. It's also $1347 for a lifetime supply.

Swissol/Zymol claim to be 37% or more by volume. What the companies do not claim is if this is 37% of the "pure" carnauba or 37% processed carnauba. In any case, it does not really matter. When you put too much carnauba wax in a car wax formula it will begin to streak or it is very difficult to buff out. I find that the low-end Swissol/Zymol waxes are a bear to buff out clear.

Funny story for you... the exotic application of Zymol by hand, instead of applicator, came about because they could not get the wax to apply evenly unless it was warmed to about 90 degrees first... solution: warm it with your hand. Amazing how a defect can be turned into a marketing twist.

The P21S/S100 (BIS Smartparts) and Pinnacle waxes came to the scene in response to the Zymol product. For years, Swissol/Zymol claimed to be "all-natural" and "contain no harmful petrol solvents...", which we all know cannot be true. What BIS Smartparts and Pinnacle did to improve the original Zymol type of formula is add polymers and other agents that make the waxes last longer and apply easier with no streaking under any conditions. I think both of BIS Smartparts and Pinnacle have created waxes that are far better in quality of shine and application than anything made by Swissol/Zymol until you get into the $800 range. At that point, who cares? A fool and his money...

Any and all difference in overall paint finish quality will be gained through polishing, not waxing. Select a quality wax based on ease-of-use, final finish clarity, richness of color, and durability. Higher price does not mean that any of these qualities will be better... only that the price is higher.

My favorite carnauba is Pinnacle Souveran and most people think I'm nuts when I spend $60 for that. It gives fantastic clarity and depth. It may last 4 weeks on a daily driver with no garage but my car never sees any elements. Souveran is also a breeeze to apply and remove.

BTW. I've never had any issues with Zymol wax streaking, but I do agree that it can sometimes be tough to buff.
It depends how long it's left on for. 2.5 - 3 mins is my limit.
