Clay Bar Rear Plastic Window?
I assume it's fine, but I just want to make sure I can clay my rear plastic window. I have a little bit of paint overspray from workers painting a building that is really irritating me and have not been able to completely get rid of it.
Also, I constantly seem to have a really thin film or haze on the inside of my windshield. I use armor all and meguiar's dash and leather products on the inside. Is this film the result of chemicals evaporating out of the protectant when the car sits in sunlight? It seems no matter what I clean the glass with, this film is always there
.
My car is immaculate and these two issues are bugging me... thanks in advance for help.

always go least aggressive first...
that would be plexus
then if you go clay, make sure its a good quality detailers clay- and test a small area first.
your glass issue can be evaporation of products- it can also be that the glass really was not completely clean... after cleaning it buff it with a dry mf towel.
trick- do the inside side to side and the outside up and down... then you can always tell what needs to be cleaned (from which direction the haze is)

I'd be REAL careful using clay on your plastic window. Clay is abrasive and could leave some nasty results on soft plastic if you're not careful. Make sure to use lots of lube if you're going to try it.

you never want to make a problem worse by detailing it

im just glade i exchanged my plastic softtop s2k within a week of purchase. well not because of the top but it had more major problem. well i went with the glass back top and couldnt be happier with it. i say it would be a good investment to go with the glass. makes the car look alot better and less of a pain to take care of. not to mention better visability...just my two cents
