Default Clay Bar and Zaino Question

I am about to go outside and Zaino for the first time ever!

Do i need to wash the car before I clay bar? or just before i do the zaino polish application?

wash with dish soap first, then claybar, then wash again. now you are ready for zaino or wax.

in about 20 minutes i'm heading outside to perform the same ritual except i'll be useing maguiers gold class wax.

washing should remove all "non-embedded" particles... the clay then removes the "embedded" particles.
and make sure you have plenty of time for this project (including the zainoing and other detailing)! its a great way to spend a morning, as long as you plan on spending that much time.

I Zaino'd for the first time. I have GP White and I had tons of embedded particles. I did the following:
1. wash with dawn
2. clay with mothers clay bar and detail spray (took forever)
3. wash with Zaino wash
4. Z5 (with ZFX)
5. Zaino detail spray
6. Z2 (with ZFX)
7. Zaino detail spray
8. Z2 (with ZFX)

looks amazing, clay bar was the best thing i have ever bought for my car, saved my car's paint

I used the clay bar on my S2000 a few weeks ago and I must say it was the single most amazing product I have ever used on the finish of a car.
The finish is damn near perfect ... smooth as silk.

ah yessss - the Zen of claying . . .

a single clay bar can last up to 5 trips around the car, BUT , it all depends on the condition of the car and how much crap it picks off . . . .

when you can no longer expose a clean surface when twisting stretching and folding - toss it.
