I picked up a PC7424 with orange, white and blue LC CSS pads, Poorboy's SSR2.5 & SSR1.0.

My paint is super smooth, can I skip claying the car before polishing?

Do I have to remove the 3 layers of Zaino Z2Pro and 2 layers of P21S Wax with dawn soap? I am thinking when I polish, all of that will be removed anyways.

1. Wash with sheepskin using 2 buckets with grit guards (megs gold class soap)
2. Dry with WW MF
3. Tape up headlights etc.
4. SSR1.0 with white pad first, then move up to orange with SSR1.0 if required
5. Blue pad with SSR1.0
6. Seal with Zaino
7. top with P21s

Will the blue pad with ssr1.0 remove all the haze and be good for LSP?

Use the poorboys 2.5 with the orange pad, and the white pad with the ssr 1. I say clay the car, just because it removes fallout, and other contaminants that you can't always see. Don't need to use dawn to remove wax/zaino/etc. The ssr 2.5 will remove it for you.

Blue pad is used for applying sealant/glaze/wax.

apply zaino and then the p21s.

white pad with ssr 1 will remove haze, etc.

No need to clay if you think it is ok.
No need to wash with dawn soap to remove old zaino; the polish will do that on its own.

I agree with all thatslanguage has said above me.

 

i dont mean to jack your thread, but i have a question that relates to what you are asking.

ive read numerous times that the polishing step will remove the wax coatings on the car. im curious though if the clay bar still works as good with the was on the car, as opposed to taking it off first.

I just washed it and clayed it really quickly. Nothing on the claybar at all.
Car is dried with WW MF. I am going to tape off the sections and test an area with the PC.

Can't wait to see results.

 

Some clay bars are more agressive thanothers. some will remove wax, etc, while others won't. The thing with claying though is it will remove fallout and other contaminants you can't always see. Plus most waxes only last on average 4-6 weeks.

definetly helped out alot. i should have asked in my first thread jacking that i have a coat of megs gold class ontop of menzerna fmj. ill need some kind of sealant removal process before i clay.

the article mentioned p21s auto wash. is there something else i could pick up localy that would work as well? thanks

as suggested before, most waxes don't last that long unless you are constantly applying additional coats. that said, a good wash, clay, and polish (with a machine and something with some cut), should easily prep your car for a sealant. btw, megs gold class soap is a great otc soap.

 

I agree that Megs gold class is the best OTC shampoo, most will argue that it is THE best. (I prefer Zainos if ordering online).
