Okay 3 hours of polishing done and I'm 3/4 way done.

I have been using the orange pad with SSR 2.5 which has been able to cut out the swirls...

Do I need to do a white paid with ssr1? the paint looks very good with just the orange and ssr2.5

how long does it take you guys to polish your car?

I would go ahead and do the SSR1 + white pad. The SSR2.5 took out your main visible swirls, but it left some very fine 3000 grit swirl marks. You should always "step" down your polishes to a more and more refined finish. SSR1 will restore alot of pop, gloss, and shine, even iif the paint looks really good now.

Typical polish times will vary: cars that have never been detailed could well take 10+ hours. A very well maintained small car might only take 1-2 hours if you are really damn fast.

I expect pictures!

Thanks for all the help.

I was just watching this video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=NURjFvmDpEc and yeah I will definetly go with white and ssr1

I am done for tonight. I will do the rest of the polishing tomorrow and add a coat of Z2. Pads are washed and drying now.

I need a brinkman or 3m sun gun. the light has to be at the right angle to see if everything looks good.

I will get some after shots. It will be from my Blackberry curve though

Not as good as a sun gun, but you can go to your local hardware store and pick up a set of dual 500w halogen lights for roughly $50.

Then again, the sun is free.

I jus spent all morning to finish polishing with orange pad/SSR2.5 & white pad/SSR1. It was washed afterwards with Meguiars Gold Class and bucket with grit guard.

The very minor swirls are all gone and just a couple of scratches that are deep that are still there (finger catches the marks). The car does not have any visible swirls left.

It is now ready for 2 coats of Zaino Z2 and P21S.

Took much longer than I had expected, back is sore and I am still not done yet.

My camera phone takes terrible pics, so I'll have to borrow a camera for better shots.
