Check in the Wash & Wax subforum, they should know. I did it with metal polish, but the one I used was a little too hardcore and it cleaned the cool burned color off a little.

I have used wd40 or brake clean on all of my exhausts and it worked pretty good.

You can clean it but polishing is another matter.

Any cotten terry or microfiber cloth should do fine. I dunno why you wouldn't be able to use a metal polish on it to make it shiny again? Sure it may loose the cool blue burned look, but that look is achieved by heat, and would come back either by a)drive or b) just re-burning it.

also if you have some stuck on tar or something liek that you can get a razor blade and use that to scrape that off pretty easily as well.
