Default "Clear Bra" cleaning?

OK, since my bumper was just repainted (due to the "peeling paint" issue), I had the film installed yesterday while the paint is still flawless.

The question now is, what to clean the 8 mil thick polyurethane with? I know they say regular washing/waxing, just like the paint, but wouldn't it be better to use Plexus and other products designed for clear plastic?

Has anyone tried it?

Does anyone who's had StonGuard, ClearShield, InvisiShield, or similar products for a long time have good cleaning feedback?

How do you clean your edges? (My search revealed q-tips to brushes...) How frequently?

Since Plexus works wonders on the headlight covers, I'm thinking I might be doing the whole front end w/Plexus now!

I've had this stuff on the car for 2 years now. I take care of it just like the rest of the car. Wash like the rest of the car. Zaino it like the rest of the car (but much less often). I've tried Plexus but it didn't really make any noteworthy difference. It's there to take the bugs and the rock chips. It gets marked up but that's what it's there for.
I don't obsess over getting the "lines" clean. I think if you spend too much time trying to clean the lines with a toothbrush or Q-tips, IF you ever take the film off for whatever reason, you might just see another line where you've "rubbed" the paint dull from all the repeated Q-tipping.

Zaino is a paint shine "process". Many people on and off this board use Zaino. You might even call some of them "Zainophiles". If you search this forum for "Zaino" you'll see what I mean.
This is the Canadian Zaino site:
http://www.car-fanatic.com/htmlindex.htm

I think the main one is "www.zainobros.com"

We always recommend Zaino since it dries clear and doesnt leave a very noticable buuildup along the film edges.

Apply the wax from the "film protected side" to the "unprotected side" and you won't have wax building up on the edge.

OK, to answer my own questions, I too found Plexus didn't make much of a dent in the grime on the nose.

Reverted to my usual cleaning products with much greater success...

Randy: Whoa, new to the board -- What Peeling Paint issue?

Please refer me to the appropriate thread on this problem. And, I thought such was history when I sold my Miata!

Thanks,
Richard
