Default Convertible top cover made of...

vinyl?

Looks like vinyl, kinda cheap-looking actually, but I'm wondering if it's something else.

I don't use it all that much, since my top is up and down all the time, but I'm doing Vinylex on other stuff and wondered if I should give it the treatment.

Anyone know for sure what that big floppy convertible top cover is made of?

It's vinyl, see the FAQs. IMO, use Lexol Vinylex for a more shiny look, use Aerospace 303 Protectant for a more natural look.

Actually I'm pretty impressed with how much the vinyl looks like canvas. All of the texture with none of the downsides of the classic fabric.

I just realized I was probably unclear: I meant the "boot cover" that protects the top when it's fully retracted, not the top itself.
