crack windshield
long story short... a rock left a crack on my windshield. safelite autoglass repair is pretty popular among the searches. if i repair, will it be perfectly new? as in, will you be able to tell like how a chip in paint stands out?

Repairing the crack will not make it "good as new". You will still see where the crack was. Basically what it looks like when done is that they "glued" over the crack then sanded it down.
I just had a small dime sized spider repaired on my WRX and I can still see where the chip was. All the repair does is make it a legal windshield again. The repair is not to "hide" the crack/chip.
If you are anal like me about your car then you will want to replace the windsheild.
Good Luck

i just got it done @ safelite... pretty cool process.
They just fill it in. I can still see it but it beats paying 400$+ for a dime-size crack. They kept asking me "you sure that isn't a Porsche?" LoL Thanks guys

You can still see it but I agree that it beats $400+ to replace it
"You sure this isn't a Porsche?"
"You sure this isn't a Miata?"
