Picked up another chip in my windshield this morning on the way to work. I call the Glass Doctor, and am told that under GA Law they cannot fix a chip or crack on the drivers side of the car because it could cause "distortion". The only thing they could do for me was replace the whole windshield. It's a small chip, about the size of 3 ballpoint pin heads in a row, but I can see it and it bugs me. Has anyone in the Atlanta community had a drivers side chip repaired. If so, by who?

I'd be curious about the what, how, and where of the windshield repiar also. I've only heard of people getting our windshield replaced, haven't seen a repaired one.

 

I have had a previous windshield fixed.

The "fix" will stop the crack / chip from spreading, but the "fix" looks worse that just the chip.

They have to drill the chip into a smooth surface, and then fill it. Looks like $hit.
If it bugs you now, it will bug you more later.
