Damaged paint under side skirt
I come to you guys with a problem..I recently removed side skirts from my s2000 that were on the car when I bought them. Much to my horror, the passenger side was missing patches of paint towards the front. Seems like the previous owner had a shop put it on with bunches of silicone and some kind of glue. The part that is missing paint is actually the bottom of the front passenger fender. I've taken it to one local shop who is quoting me $450 to paint the whole fender. Does any one think this part of the fender can be saved by spot treatment then blended into the existing fender paint? I just cant justify spending 450 or so to paint the whole passenger fender when the rest of it is in good shape. I've included pics. Even if the bottom part could be taped off, sanded, and repainted and there was a visible line, I would not mind it at this point lol. Painting the whole fender is my last resort honestly... anyway, i'm gonna stop rambling and include some pics.
Thanks for any input!
(Those black marks are not scratches but rather glue I haven't taken off yet.)
