Can anyone tell me what the dashboard is made of - and what is best to clean it. I don't like a glossy look.

It's just plastic I'm fairly sure. I hate that false shine that you get with some of the silicon based cockpit cleaners. So far all I've done is wiped it over periodically with a damp leather. It comes up just fine!

 

I like 303 - it gives the dash a nice matt look. And 303 works great on tires.

 

I've used Zymol Vinyl on the dash. The stuff is expensive but it has a great smell and does not leave a glossy finish. Instead, the dash is left with a deep black look without feeling or looking very slippery.

 

Agree kester,that stuff works great on the top as well.Ceyanson,you can get it at Pep Boys for about eight bucks,but you don't need to use it to often.

 

Meguiar's #40. Doesn't leave a shine or sticky coat, but it richens the dash, leather, vinyl, and smells new-car nice (but not strong)

 

I agree with bobg the 303 works great and no shine.
