Default Detailing Tools

I was just curious is anyone has used the zymol wheel brush?

Or their wash sponge?

Your opinions on them?

Also just your overall favorite detailing tools. Weather it be a paint brush you purchased from home depot...or the latest gadget you got from some detail supply. Maybe some homemade thingamajig?

havent used their tools...
dont like sponges (dont like the feel on the car- too much surface drag; its a personal thing)- and i like bigger brushes (i have all sizes, but the most used is my longer handle)

as far as fav tools?? hmmm... creeper, vac n blow, blower, trolley jack, and i pretty much like all the rest too! (including the soft toothbrushes as crazy s2k mentioned).
havent used a foamer yet, but just ordered one from phil-

It's not often that I call a detailing product total crap, but the Zymol Wheel Brush is just that . . . total crap! The white plastic collar on the brush cracks for absolutely no reason and then all the bristles fall out all over your wheel. I've had several of these brushes and it happens every time.

The sponge is OK as far as sponges go. I used them for years and only experienced light marring over a long period of time. If you are going with a foam wash tool you should look toward the ShMitt. It's a much better wash tool than a sponge.

Thanks all for your input...keep em coming!

MikeyC I noticed the "paul" using the wheel brush in that famous top gear piece. Also noticed he was using what looked like a sponge and wondered if anyone tried the zymol sponge. Thanks for your input.

Thanks Crazys S2k and as always Wanabe!

If I could get paid $3,000 to detail a car then I wouldn't mind throwing out my wheel brushes after only a couple of uses.

There are very similar looking brushes made by other companies that may be more durable. The brush does work well. It just doesn't last very long.
