Default Disgusted..

I'm trying to network on other car forums with the help of a friend, and I read a thread and this guy says he got his audi clayed, polished, and waxed for $75!! I can't believe this, I'd love to see the hack job they did on that Audi, but he's probably happy with the work, and that's what matters, right?

Any one else have similar experiences?

Aaron

for $75 it had to be "starving students" !!
i agree, for an "adult" to do that process is at least 6 hours or so.

i would love to see pics of the results...
and all i know is the tip better be as much as the charge to make it fair if it was a decent polish job !

btw, i hope it was an audi tt (the smallest audi)

i totally hear u guys... but i'm trying to decide if that, or the 400 dollar miracle products offered from dealerships are worse. i've been helping a friend car shop (her lease is up in feb and i'm trying to make her a smart car shopper by looking early, as well as looking at everything. so far looked at the GTI/GLI from VW and the new mazda6, more to come...), and have noticed the same "super wax" offered by two different places with a little display in the showroom. i'd hate to see how much they want for this crap, as it's a sealant, not a clear bra.

BOOOOO to shady detailers and mass marketed products that don't work

90% of "Detailers" out there are like that. they probably don't even know what clay does

it makes those people appreciate quality like us more later on hahaha. they'll get fed up with it eventually

I charged my close friends $100 for exterior detail, and they refer their other friends to me and i charge a bit more since i dont know them.

There was a car ive done where i let the customer pay what they think was right after they saw there car...and man was i shocked, at first he pulled out a $60 and handed it to me and i was like crap. He said wait wrong pocket and pulled out a couple hundred bucks and smiles all around.
