I couldn't find this in any archives. Is there permanent damage to the front bumper from putting the front license plate with that bracket that Honda supplies? I don't want to put that especially if it affects the car. Thanks for any help.

i'll double check tonight when i get home

I ran the frt plate on my 01 for a year before removing it and there were no ill effects to the paint (other than it was dirty) -

i have not even bothered putting the bracket on my 04

So, what you're saying is that the bracket doesn't hurt it;. But, also, what about where the holes go to hold the bracket? I was looking at the two spots where the holes go, and it looks like there is a covering hiding possibly pre-drilled holes from the manufacturer.
1) Am I guessing correctly about the pre-drilled holes?
2) If I put the bracket, and then want to take it off, can the holes be restored to pre license plate status?

I know this is picky, but I just have to know.l
Thanks for anybody's help.

There are two plugs in your frt bumper that cover the factory holes -

simply remove the plugs and bolt your plate bracket on. then bolt your plate on the bracket

save your bumper plugs and when you want to remove the plate just pop them back in

i just bought some plugs from honda today. They were 5.50 a piece. I don't know why they don't sell them in pairs. I didn't make sence to me.
