What is the best way to polish around the fender emblems on my S? I taped them off when polishing and beilieve that I covered none of the paint in doing so. However, after polishing there are "rings" around the emblem and in between the S and 2000 that the polisher couldn't get to. Is there something I did wrong or is there another way to get to these hard to reach areas? I will post pics if necessary but I'm sure you polishing gurus know what I mean Thanks, Jim

in hard to get areas i do some hand polishing where needed. have to admit that this is very rare. i usually get most with the machine. i do go right up to all edges with the machine.
some guys tape, but i dont... its more normal to tape and you can get more that way unless you are a wackos wacko. wws just polish and go for it. we can get pretty much perfectiion without taping. prob cause there was no tape when i learned to polish. tape is nice, but not a requirement.
