Default exterior feels rough

i washed and waxed my car this morning. I did Mequire's 3 step program. After i wax my car i can feel how smooth it is. The weird thing is that some part of the car feels rough and from a closer look it looks like some small dirt particle are sticking to the paint. I tried to scrub it off and its no use. I tried polishing some more but it still feels rough.... help me!!!

Sounds like you need to clay bar your car.

Yup time to use clay.
You will have to reapply the 3 step again after you clay though.
If you dont want to redo everything now, just wait until you do. Then use clay after you wash it but before you use the 1st step.
What you are feeling is crud (debris) embedded in the paint. Polish wont take it all off. Clay will remove most of the debris.

Mothers has a nice package of a clay bar and a bottle of California Gold detail spray. The detail spray acts as a lubricant for the clay.

You could also use a solution of car wash liquid and water in a spray bottle as clay lubricant. Cheap too!

I was introduced to claybarring through our Ottawa detail day, and it makes a unbeleivable difference in how your car will feel. Also you will see your water just bead off after you clay then use your zaino or Klasse
