Unhappy Finally going to be a Zaino-holic

I finally gave in, placed my order last night and picked up a few things my cousin was no longer using.

Heres my Zaino shopping list:
Z2
Z5
Z6
ZFX
Z-CS
Z-PC
Z9
Z10
Z12
Z16
and a couple applicators

lol wow thats a long list. cant wait to detail my car finally and see that wet shine I've been missing over the winter. I'll post pics when I get around too it hopefully within the next 2 weeks.

Who else swears by Zaino...my cousin got me into it.

thanks
Mike

hand raised...

but i find that you do not need most of those products- its a personal thing i know.
z2 is my fav of your list-

i prefer real swirl removers (menzerna makes my favs) to the zaino versions. zainos are swirl fillers so the swirls come back after awhile. still good products as long as you know what you are getting.

also my fav detail sprays are carnauba based- which reminds me that what your list is missing imo is a carnauba for the last step- i cover my zaino with carnauba for an even wetter and deeper shine and better dust repellancy. i have had over 20 coats of z2 on my car (with several carnaubas in between)- cause i often wash then z2 over whatever is on the car... and sometimes finish with wax.

zaino is great stuff and a lot of fun- just dont get hung up in trying to use all the products you bought or you might burn out on the process!

btw, cant wait so see some pics!!

what carnauba would you recommend/use? and Im guessing z5 is the swirl filler your taking about, I was told Z-pc is comparable to the 3m swirl remover but im not sure how true that is.

yes the 3m glaze contains oils and fillers (not bad, but just not swirl removal)

for hand rub (meaning fingers and palms) i prefer lusso oro wax. for machine or by applicator (hand) i like p21s. p21s has to be removed pretty quickly, so it is not the choice for finger rubbing.
they are comparable shines.

I have been looking for a wax to put over Zaino. I gave up using Z-2 with ZFX. The ZFX was expensive and it dried up in the bottle in about a years time. So I switched to using Z-CS by itself. I was surprised by the results even after only one coat. Zaino claims that Z-CS is not a replacement for Z_2 but I got great results by itself. The good thing about Z-CS is that you can place it over any wax to lock in the shine. So I will be placing some over a coat of lusso oro wax to hopefully get the best possible shine. Or should I use lusso for my final coat?

I used Zaino for years and it is a great product if you have the time to apply it. I have been using Blackfire products which takes less time and the shine in my opinion is better. The Wet Ice over Fire process from Blackfire is awesome and I have been using it for show cars I detail for some of my customers.

I read on another thread that putting s100/p21s oover zaino does not make much of a difference if you have a light colored car(i have a sebring silver). Am I just wasting time and money if I try this?
