Fresh Paint
sounds like a tapeline, i would just get them to fix it, if your comfortable with doin some colorsanding, then it should fix it, i would claybar it first, it could just be some overspray.
a fender should not have too much orange peel because there are so many curves, you really see the orange peel on flat areas, so the sides of the car or the front bumper or hood.

well I tried to pick a little bit off with my finger nail and it was pretty tough to take off. It felt like I was chipping the new paint so I just did a 1/4 inch by the door hinge and stopped.
After they completely finish d!cking around with the car I will zaino and see how noticable the orange peel is. I have seen really really bad orange peel and this is very insignifican't compared to that so I probably won't make a big deal of the rest unless it looks really really bad polished. Like I said previously, they wetsanded/polished the hood and trunk lids already. When I went to pick it up, the guy said he was just going to wax it or something and it would be done in 30min. I said whatever, and then when i returned it was perfect. So maybe thats all it needs... just a little TLC

whenever i get fresh paint i always check for orange peel first.
check to see if they colorsanded since they painted your entire car. if they didnt i would get them to colorsand your entire car, or else your paint will look like poo poo
if it was all done, start waxing! people say you should wait a couple of months for the paint to GAS out. thats not true unless the paint they used must be left with open pores for that long. the newer paint used now only needs about a couple of weeks sometimes just a couple of days.

why we said that? because all the tech sheet from most of the BASF paint said no wax on fresh paint. Tech sheet is want to follow around here, it's the company's test proven result of what they knew works and does not work for their paint/supply.
you can polish it very soon but i would ran away from painter telling you you can wax it the first day, maybe they have something to hide, maybe
little bit more: the what not to use its not limited to wax, i think most paint will not like silicone product fresh on them

thanks HankookS2K. yea the orange peel is pretty well taken care of. It is very very faint on the top of the fender down the sides.
was looking more closely at it today though, and in the door sills there is a "edge" by the looks of it this is where it was taped off. If you were to magnify it, it feels like a cliff. Is this easily removable with some easy wetsanding or will i mess anything up? I would take a pic of it, but i doubt it would be visible.
i'm still waiting for the appraiser to come and look at the wavy fender though.

i wouldn't mess with it fearing you might lift the cc, or develop a CC failure later down the line.
ok well like i said before... he told me it didn't matter when i waxed it. He is guarantee'ing the paint for life against defects etc so he said just to bring it back if anything happens and he'll fix it up for me.
Car is going back in when it's nicer to get the tape line off.
what would they be hiding by telling me i can wax first day after? i don't understand.
