is it safe to use on the dash? im planning on buying a garmin nuvi 350 and was hesitant to mount it to the dash. i dont want all that adhesive permanently damaging the dash (will it?). i have a bottle of goo gone, does that remove the adhesive and is safe?

 

goo gone shouldnt harm your dash...
you can experiment with it on an area lower down to see for yourself.

goo gone is one of the products that i would try for the really heavy duty adhesives that the gps's use.
be sure to wipe the dash down really well before mounting the plate (wipe off as much protectant as possible- alcohol helps with this)

i mount mine on the glass- not a perm mounting and it doesnt mess anything up.
