Default HELP!

Alright wash and wax gurus I'm in need of all of your endless wisdom!

I was reading through some threads a couple days ago on how to remove the S2000 side badges without leaving any sticky residue I did my homework and went at it with dental floss and ran to the home depot and picked up some goof off as was suggested by others who removed the side badges....
I took my time flossing the badges to death but it still left some residue from the tape, I used the goof off and removed the residue with very little trouble but I'm guessing that when I sprayed at the residue a little of the goof off spray hit my sidemarkers on both sides of the car now the black trim of the sidemarkers turned whitish grayish color like the black is fading.
I imediatly pulled out the hose and wash mitt and hosed down my sidemarkers and washed it with soap but it looks like it goes away and once it dried its back to being faded....
How bad have I screwed up will I have to buy new sidemarkers or is there any remedy to this....
Please any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

I would try a specific rubber protectant on the trim piece, it may take several coats to fully restore the color. Here is a page from DetailersDomain site that lists some products for rubber. Personally I like the Adams VRT.
