adhesive remover
i used an adhesive remover to take off my H badges so i could put on my S badges. well the store didn't have 3M so i got something else that said it was safe and would not damage paint.
well i can tell were i sprayed it. it is lighter in color, it almost looks as if it cleaned the car in that area. but the problem is that my car was already clean!!! i waxed it afterward and it is still there. is this permanate or is ther something i can do. its not as bad on the back but i can tell where i put the tape to line up the badges.. thanks..

yup, you can fix it...
would be easiest if you remove the badges, but we can try to help without that step.
can you tell us the exact name of the product that you used?
the solution to your problem could be as simple as claying, to a bit more complicated polishing or possibly something else depending on what your remover contains.

is it possible that you let it dry on the car? if so, you should redo the area cause you might have the product still on the car.
if there is no chance that it dried on the car, then i would feel the area. if it is at all rough, i would clay it. then reinspect.
if still not working, i would try a paint cleaner (the least aggressive of the polishes) or swirl remover.
if that doesnt get it, you have stains and your next step is much more aggressive polishing (start with a fine cut compound)... my guess is that you should be able to fix this with some of the ideas in the beginning of my rambling above!
no matter what you do, be sure to rewax after cause any of the above will take off your protection.
i assume that you cant get pics of this problem?
