Holy Clean Windows, Batman
So I washed my car today (very light wash) for the first time in a few weeks because I managed to park under a sap-pissing tree (grrr).
I decided I'd try claying the windshield to see what it'd pick up. I did the driver's side half with some old clay then wiped it down with Stoners. Thinking that my 77k-mile windshield might have gunk (and maybe a little clay) in all the pock marks and chips, I busted out the 3M version of Prepsol (serious dangerous stuff for cleaning the paint prior to painting/clear coating/touchups).
After rubbing down that area of the window pretty good (making sure to avoid any trim - it'll eat your vinyl) I was AMAZED at how easily a clean cloth glided over the surface. I tried the cloth on the passenger side (clayed and Stonered) and it was like night and day... It was like running your hand over a clayed vs. unclayed section of paint in a plastic bag.
I know, probably not the best thing to be using (extremely toxic), but I decided to carefully do the inside of the windshield, too and man, it cut right through everything. I finished up with an application of Stoners and was feeling pretty stoned (definitely should wear a respirator!!).
My windshield thanks me. You might try it yourself if you have some Prepsol laying around, but I wouldn't go out and buy it - there are cheaper, safer alternatives. You'd be wise to avoid any sort of plastic or painted areas (destroys plastic, strips wax and sealants).
So there. I think I'm still high.

I heard they make this thing, its a little less toxic...I believe is called...umm i could be wrong, windex??
stuff works amazing lol...
I dont think i have ever had a windshield so messed up that i have wanted to clay bar it, let alone use w/e it is that you used. I wonder how well that "Invisible Glass" stuff works, its probably just Windex in an Arousal can form,
P.S. Dont use windex on window tint, it will turn it purple thats how dangerous this stuff is!!! It also can be used to kill that annoying group of ants that keep going after your doughnuts!

hehehe...
Invisible Glass is awesome - better than windex (no streaks, easy to use, little dripping) and is safe on tint. I've never had a problem with it. BUT, as great as it is, it won't kill water spots and more ground-in/baked-on road film that accumulates over time, no matter how much you use.
The towel test tells me that it (the 3M Adhesive Remover/Prepsol) REALLY cleaned the window far better than any standard window cleaner. Not to mention how clear the window is now. They make multiple glass polishing kits to remove stubborn glass problems, so it's not just some imagined problem or something that Windex will fix, but whatever works for you.

Found Maguiars NXT Glass Cleaner on sale for $3.99. Works fine with those Costco MF towels. Works at least as good as Windex but the difference seems small. My main concern about household glass cleaners is paint damage. I suspect this is not a big problem but I don't care to experiment.
