Please forgive this stupid question, but when people talk about "buffing" out minor scrapes, what exactly is that? Specifically what materials or items do I need to buy and use to "buff" out some scratches and scrapes on the plastic bumper cover? Thanks in advance.

 

It all depends on how bad the damage is. There are various grades of polishing compounds that you can use to "buff" out the scratches. However, if they are too deep, you may have to get it re-painted.
