Napa and Autozone should have a variety of wheel cleaners. Read the labels.

As for clearcoat polish, I use the Ford Clearcoat polish that I get from my local Ford/Lincoln/Mercury Dealer.

Woah woah woah! Don't go trying an acid based claener on ANY wheels before you know if they are clear coated or not! If they are, it will do horrible damage to them!

I would be very careful with those rims man. Volks are very expensive so make sure you knwo what they are before you go doing anything that could potentially damage them.

You should be able to find a vendor that sells the same volks that you have. Check with them to find out if they come clear coated or bare aluminum. You'll hate yourself if you mess up your wheels.

Somehow I missed the fact that these are Volk wheels. I think US market Volks are clearcoat. We have a set of Volks that were shipped from Japan and they have a very thin color coat - possibly just anodizing. That finish is very easy to damage.

BE Careful!!

man u guys got me so nervous now lol most products that i find in autozone dont really say much except either metal or aluminum polish. So far i tried mothers aluminum n metal polish , turtle polish w/rust removal, and another mother spray , sit, n wipe bottle. None working...so maybe polishes arent my answer? or im still in the wrong direction

Usually the wheel cleaners state on the label whether they are for bare aluminum or painted/clearcoated wheels??? Has that changed in recent years?
