I Z-6 every couple of weeks after I wash with Z-7. I Z-7 about once a week. Z-6 is great stuff and VERY easy to use just follow directions and you'll be fine. Basically mist a small area and wipe it off with a 100% cotton towel. Continue till you finish the car and keep flipping the towel over to a dry spot as you go along. If you let Z-6 dry before wiping it'll look like crap. Easy to fix. Reapply and wipe. That's it.

Never used a duster but I may try sometime if I happen to see one. Like I said before though, I just rewash the car because it's no big deal even if I'm in a hurry and frankly black looks best when just cleaned. You can't seem to get away with any shortcuts with one of these babies.

It never ends. Looks like I have to go buy a duster and give it a shot because I hate dust on my car! Blue is fairly forgiving but I like it to "glow" at all times.

Thanks for the tips guys!

Get the "baby" Cali Duster while you're there. Honest, there really is a baby one. It's great for dusting the interior. Convertibles tend to get very dusty interiors too.
(If you keep reading this forum, it will NEVER end! )

mine is dusted at least a couple of times a week... then sometimes it also gets a detail spray after the dusting. and the windows get washed too.
i keep it covered, even in the garage at work, to minimize the dust (also because the top is never up- and covering keeps dust and hands out of the interior).
so tidalwave, my primary hint for keeping dust off is using the cover!

I didn't get a cover. Do most people here have one? My dealer said he could sell me one for 190.00. A couple more hours and I'll go hunt down a California Duster, can't wait .

Oh, and a bird pooped on my car today. What's up with that?

Seems like a good deal.

Anything else I need..Lets see I've got Zaino 1. 3. 6. whatever...
303 Aerospace, Swiffer wipes, Chrome Cleaner, Leather cleaner (Luxor)
Geez, I know I'm missing something....I'll get back to ya'll........

Go to a do it yourself carwash place and spray some spot free rinse on it. That might help if it's too much to dust off.

I posted the following in the "How to keep your car clean in a drought" thread but it is applicable here also;

I use a car cover and NEVER put the car away dirty. The trick is after you drive it and before you cover it do the following;

Take a clean white 100% cotton face towel.
Wet thouroghly.
Wring out
spray LEMON PLEDGE on both sides
Wring out again (to work the pledge into the fibers)
Fold in quarters
Wipe car down starting from top surfaces and working your way down
Always keep rotating the side of the towel you are using as it gets dirty you have eight sides to use

If you do this everytime you put the car away you will DRASTICALLY reduce the number of times you need to wash the car with water. As city water has chlorine and well water has hard minerals this is a good thing.

The Lemon Pledge (NEVER SPRAY IT ON THE CAR ONLY ON THE WET TOWEL) leaves a wax coating water will always bead up and road grime will not stick to the surface of your car.

Always keep a damp pledge rag in your car to wipe it down during your day with it. It also works great on the dashboard.

This is an old fiberglass boat detailing trick but it works great on modern clear-coat finishes.

Try it you will love it.

"spray LEMON PLEDGE on both sides"

Are you serious? I've never heard of that. It scares me . Is that a pretty common way to keep a car looking clean?
