Default How do you clean a clean car

I try not to let my car see rain and put it in the garage for days on end. When I go to drive it, there is a layer of dust on it. Back in my youger years, I'd wipe it down with a wet shammie (sp). Now i know better. Do I just spray it down with water and dry it off? How do you clean a car with just a dust covering on it?

Thanks,
Dave

Being that I have black, my car always seems dirty/dusty to me unless I just washed it. In other words, I just rewash the puppy.

BUT I have heard that some of those dusting "brushes" work well but I've never tried one myself.

By the way, you may want to check out Zaino. It's a product a lot of us use. You can find out more info at www.zainobros.com. It's a lot of work "at first" but easy cleaning after that. Crap seems to slide off...seriously.

If you use Zaino you should always spray with Z6. It will attract less dust.

But a california duster works like a charm.

Thanks for the tips! I'll try to hunt down a California Duster today. Hum, never even heard of it before , but, I see Walmart, Kmart, etc. carry it. Maybe I'll see if I can find some zaino while I'm out.

Oh no, now you are making it sound like work . I have to season a new car

I'll still check it out I guess. I have free time this weekend to clean the car.

Is the Califormia Duster safe from scratching? I had something like that years ago and threw it away, maybe they are better know.

Also, Zaino Z-6 DETAIL SPRAY says that it's to be used beetween washes but I'm afraid to try it. It just seems like it would scratch, but what do I know!
