If you have a black car the only clear choice is a leaf blower... My Type R was black and that is the only thing I ever used to dry it.

Now I have a white car and can dry it off with a hot diaper and it still looks clean

I bought a Turtle Wax blade-esque wiper at the weekend and am going to test it out on Friday.

UsuallyI use a chamois but its such a pain to do well unless I am missing something .

I use a California water blade (make sure you clean the surface well) after the final rinse, then finish with the Big Blue MF towel.

I have a few Super Shammy towels which I used to wipe the door jams, the wheels, tail pipe and all the water channels around the truck and hood.

100% cotton made in the USA towels, by Wamsutta. better than anything. Chamois and absorber will SCRATCH your car!

Ok, I'm a recent convert from the Absorber to the Big Blue. But how in the world (aside from dropping them on the ground...which is obvious) could you assert that a Chamois OR the Absorber would scratch your car?

Furthermore, I think it's been shown around here that typical towels after a couple of washings are not as soft as they used to be and will evenutally do thier own part in putting hair-line scratches in your clearcoat.

per suggestions in this thread I've been final rinsing our cars lately without the nozzel on and have almost eliminated the need for the Blade before the Big-Blue. Almost 20 years of being obsessed with vehicle cleaning and I still learn new stuff , gotta love the internet
