I got my box of Zaino today. The question is, how long will a first application take?

Wash w/ dawn,
claybar
wash w/ Z7
Z2 w/ ZFX

Any guesses?

 

It took my 5 hours from start of dawn wash -> claybar -> 2 coats of Z5 and then Z6 gloss. Probably take you the same, surf. Give yourself lots of time. It's ironic, but applying the polish is the quickest step.

And, it's true, with ZFX it really only takes about 1/2 hour before you can wipe off (depending on temp / humidity).

 

Just don't use this as the benchmark of how long it will usually take - once the prep and first layer(s) are done, Zaino goes on faster and easier than anything I've tried.

Chazmo hit it pretty well. About five hours. But remember, you don't need to do the Dawn wash again. And you only do the clay barring about once a year. Take your time using the clay bar. That's the most intensive part of the whole initial prep.
