I wash my car on average about once every 2 months. I work from home, so it's garaged at all times.

I wax the car once very 6 months. That's all you really need to do.

 

Wash & wax every other sunday. Z-7, 2 coats of Z-5 & finish up with one coat of Z-2, ZFX is awesome

 

Heh. After 15 years, I've learned to finesse these questions from my wife. I tell her the answer is "both." I negotiate a pact which allows her to freely shop for a few hours, if I'm allowed to wash and wax my car once a week. Works every time.

I tend to follow this lead. However, I drive it more often now and the bugs like the Spa yellow, so I wash it more frequently during the good weather. I wax it maybe three or four times during the good weather as well. It's garaged at all times, so it doesn't see much sun to deteriorate the finish and never sees snow and only sees rain if I get caught in it.

 

Oh yeah, I forgot to add that I don't ever drive the car in the rain, that's what the Prelude is for. It stays really clean, plus, I use the California Car Duster from time to time on it.

 

I'd say the biggest culprit is the bugs and seeing how the car is rather small it takes only a short time to wash it, I've probably washed the car about once per week since March and it has been waxed about 4 times.

 

My plan is wash every week (inside, outside, and wheels), wax w/ zymol (soo good) every one-two months.

 

I wash mine every week it seems. I wash the windshield after every drive and clean off the bugs from the front end usually after every drive. I have waxed it twice so far but that is to try to make it easier to remove the bugs. I washed it today and then used 3M Gloss Enhancer to shine it up. Looks good.

 

Well, I went and Zaino'ed my car for the first time two weekends ago, and today went and re-washed and put another coat of Z7 on it.

All I have to say is 'that's some sh*t.'

I have been nothing but impressed with it. A hell of a long job, but worth the results. Here's a pic of 'before' (still not a bad job with just regular car wash and hand drying - a great paint job on these beauties)...

Zaino Z8 at LEAST every two weeks with Z6 between washes. Z2 every 60 days. 6 caots per year. Garage kept!
