Default i installed blindspot mirrors........

Watup guys, as the title states, I installed blindspot mirrors on each of my side mirrors, and now I want to remove them. At first I tried pulling/wiggling them off by hand but the double sided tape is too strong. I'm afraid that if I pull/wiggle too hard, the side mirrors will break. Any tips/suggestions on how I could safely go about in taking them off? Any input is appreciated. THANKS!!!!!!

Make sure the mirrors aren't too cold (don't know where you live) and heat up the mirrors with a hair dryer. Start off on a warm setting and work you way up to hot. Once hot, keep the dryer on it and use a plastic, flat bladed implement (something like a credit card plastic knife) and try to get one spot to lift. Once it starte to lift put something a bit thicker till you can get your finger in there. Continue with SLOW, steady lifting and the tape should gradually let go all along its surface. Don't rush if you see it coming off well. This will only leave the adhesive behind and you'll have more to clean off.

PS. You shouldn't need a blind spot mirror on the passenger side. It's already a convex mirror. Just adjust it further out so you can see who's beside you. As for the driver's side mirror, you might consider getting the convex mirror replacement. "Muz" sells the JDM convex mirrors. Many of us have these.

and another choice- the mirror actually pops out pretty easily... i think it might be a bit easier to work on if you take it off of the car.
then i would use the procedures above.
i have the european "non drivers side" mirror (convex) on both sides of my car- takes a little getting used to, but no more blind spots!

if you want more details on popping out and reinstalling the mirror, let us know and i can try to track down the instructions- they might be on muz's site.

maybe this will help (read the entire thread):

^^ Great idea. Yes, I think I've seen how to remove the stock mirror glass on Muz's site.
