how to wax, or how to detail?

how to wax:

wash, inspect
clay if necessary
wax (with p21s) is wipe on (with the provided applicator) the way the air flows over the car in small sections and wipe off immediately with a high quality micro fiber towel.

how to detail is a whole lot more involved-

1. Go to your local auto supply store
2. Buy a can of carnauba paste wax (Mother's, Meguiar's, it doesn't really matter at this point), some soap, several microfiber towels, and a couple chenille/sheepskin wash mitts
3. Go home, and wash and dry "cutie"
4. Apply the wax per the instructions in sections using the provided applicator (usually a foam pad)
5. Give the wax a couple minutes to haze over and dry (depending on the instructions)
6. Buff the wax off with a microfiber towel, and repeat steps 4 and 5 on the remaining sections of your car.

Hope this clears things up. Waxing is just one step in the detailing process. If you are REALLY interested in making your S shine, take a look at the "how to" sticky at the top of the forum, or pay a visit to autopia.org

Try to get with some other local s2000 owners... I'm sure they can give you some first hand help =).
