Default Just a couple detail ?'s

Say on a full paint correction, how are you guys getting to the odd spots that a buffer cannot reach?

For example, the factory Honda wing on the s2k. How would you go about buffing the trunk and such? You would only be able to reach about half the trunk with the buffer and the top of the wing, what do you do for UNDER the wing?? If you left it, it would just look weird..

I ask b/c Im going to be detailing an S2K with this wing, and wasnt to sure how I should go about the process. Thanks in advance!

By hand. Get yourself some nice foam applicators, work product by hand to the best of your ability, wipe off with MF towel, then proceed to next step.

Remove the wing. As I understand it, the wing is a dealer installed item, so it should be easy to remove. On my old Integra, the wing on the hatchback came on and off with two 10mm acorn-cap nuts per side. Lift it off, making sure not to tear the little black rubber seals, and you're finished.

This also allows you to clean up those rubber seals, and the inevitable gunk that wells up underneath them, as well...

I was thinking of doing that, just not sure how the owner would feel about it...

Don't tell him

Seriously, if you're real worried about that, tell him that's what you plan to do. Take photos or measurements somehow to make sure you don't put it back on wrong (although that seems highly unlikely).

Last time I detailed my car, I took off the sidemarker lenses.

Powerball Mini

It's mostly geared towards metal, but they have one for paint now too.

If it's the OEM WING, then you can remove it with less hassle, but I installed the oem LIP wing, and it's held on my double sided tape, so I'd be worried about possibly marring the paint trying to take the lip wing off.

Although, now that I posted that I realized that if it was the lip spoiler that you wouldn't have to worry about getting under it.

Never mind this post!
