My co-worker swears by this stuff. Has anyone used any of the Liquid Glass products on their car?

My uncle used to swear by this stuff many years ago. It's some kind of synthetic sealant. He's since moved on to other products. I surf the detailing boards all the time and it doesn't seem to currently be a popular choice, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't try it.

I say try it and if you like it then stick with it! If you don't like it no damage done, just buy something else.

When I was into offshore boating, a lot of guys were using this stuff on their hulls, so I started using it...... seemed to keep stains off of the hull for longer periods of time than whatever else I was using (boat used in upper Chesapeake Bay, where there are considerable amount of tannins (sp?) in the water that leave a nasty 'bath tub ring' on the hull). Keep in mind that the stained area is exposed to water flowing across the surface at speed. I guess it is some testament to it's durability.

After that, I started using it on my cars....... I'm not detail anal, but seems to hold up for quite some time. YMMV.

I use it on my vehicles. Nothing (and I mean nothing) lasts as long. You put two coats on in the spring and two coats on in the fall and you are covered all year. Regular waxs last me a couple weeks to a 2 months, Zaino does not last as long either. Liquid Glass does a good job of keeping cone marks off the car too (autoX).

A co-worker uses it on his 350Z and I must admit the car looks great. It is layer on much like Zaino;he has like 15 coats on it

It works okay. It doesn't have the shine or last as long as the new synthetics on the market. I tested it on the hood of my Accord and it seemed to last me about 2-3 months.

I called the company and asked if the claims on the bottle were true, that multiple coats add a "protective barrier" helping to resist stone chips.

The owner stated that you need at least 10 coats to obtain that "protective barrier". So, for a little experiment I applied it to the front bumber (at least 12 coats) and can say that there isn't a chip anywhere to be found. On the other hand my hood has far too many chips for my tatste. So, does it really work as stated? It seems like it does.

As far as the shine goes, there's nothing spectacular about it. This is "old school" technology but of course that doesn't mean that it's not a good product.

Try a product called REJEX, just google it and you will find out all about it
and where to buy. it is an aerospace product and trust me works.
I've used it on my 2000 and am very happy. I work in the aviation industry
and now use on our aircraft. Dirt, exhaust stains are just so much easier
to get off.
