That Lovely Clean Leather Smell
I want it back!
Had the car for a few weeks and that lovely smell of leather has gone. I've used AutoGlym Leather Care but it doesn't smell of anything really.
What do Honda dealer's use that gives the smell off? Do they maybe pay a gimp to sleep in it for a few days before the sale?
Cheers,
Gaz

you can use leather smell air-fresheners, but i wouldnt...
try the townsend leather products-
leather cleaner
leather preservative
http://www.townsendleather.com/products.asp
that will get pretty close to what you want, i think- and if not, well you have one of the best leather cleaners and preservatives!!

I, too, love that new car smell, part of which is attributed to the leather. However, I have read somewhere (I think in Popular Science) that the new car smell is actually bad for you (toxic chemicals or something to that effect). Go figure, just another thing that I love that's not good for me (I really miss my cigarettes and hamburgers )

The Leather Institute Cleaner, Conditioner, and Protector product...will make it smell like new again.
My car is 2 years + old and it smells great for weeks after I condition it.

Tanner's preserve has a good leather smell and I love the goodrich matte finish it provides. The saino product are also very good.
I have a hard time believing you can keep the "new car smell" for a long time especiall with a ratop. The smell comes from the car being sealed off and the odor permeating everything in the car. With all the cleaning and differnet products we use plus the back the interior is exposed much of the time means this is a losing battle.
