Is the BMW product available at any dealrership?
It was available at my Honda dealership, go figure. More so, the Honda dealership recommended it over other products. Hummm... One would think that BMW dealerships would stock the supplies that were made "specifically" for them (as it states on the tube).

I applied Shin - Etsu today. I used a surgical glove so it was easy. The glove makes the grease slide more than a finger would.

I am not a proctologist.

Sorry Guy's, I need clarification. This grease is applied to all rubber seals (trunk, hood, door, soft top/hardtop, etc.) to maintain suppleness ? Does it leave residue on the side window glass as these seals rest tightly against the glass ? Do you just rub the grease into the entire length of all rubber seals ?

i applied shin-estu to all my rubber(roof seals, door seals, trunk seals, hood seals, even balljoint boots)yes just rub along entire lenght of seal. i let it sit on the rubber for awhile, then wiped off excess. it leaves a small amount of residue on glass but lessens with time.(car gets washed very often and seals wiped-down with clean cloth)
