Meguiars/Plexus/3M Revisited
Hi All,
Sorry for beating this dead horse again, but I can't seem to find a solution for removing the deeper scratches from my rear window (search didn't help).
I've used the Mequiars three-step system with very good results on the fine scratches and cloudiness, but I still have these deeper scratches that have been around since day one.
Is there anything better than Mequiars (Plexus, 3M, elbow grease, ???) for removing the deeper stuff?
Thanks in advance!

I don't know of anything better. The 3M/Meguiar's do as good a job as anything I know. (Both appear to be the same product or at least very similar.)
That being said, and assuming you've done everything you can do (MuzMat, some sort of roll protector), then I would approach the dealer and ask them to consider replacing it under the TSB. My dealer (Hayward Honda) was at first a bit reluctant, but I was able to convince them by being patient, polite, and pointing out that I was doing everything I could to keep it good, but that the TSB came out well after the problems started on mine. (I actually got the car used, and NOT from Hayward Honda.) The Service Director went to the regional service rep and they OK'd the replacement as a "one time good will gesture". Scheduled for next Tuesday, actually.

If you've got heavy scratches use Meguiar's but NO elbow grease. Simply use light polishing and rub until it's almost dry. The heavy scratches can't be removed, just cleared up. But great news, Pinky posted today that the 2002's will have a glass rear window!
