Default Need some reccs in products....

Getting ready to order some detailing products, im down to some categories that have not had products recommended to me yet.

- Carpet Cleaner
mines is not bad, but could use a nice cleaning for a nice clean smell as well

- Cloths
what do you guys recommend? I need a new external car wash sponge, i need some shammies (or microfiber cloths), and some general ones for just wiping the inside vinyl protectant and leather protecants onto the interior.

- Brushes
ive read to get a nylon scrub brush for our softtops. Any reccs for the top and maybe for rims as well?

- Vinyl Protectant
im looking for something for the door panels, dashboard, and etc in the car. Basically anything that is NOT for the seats.

some quick thoughts:

carpets- imo the vacuum is the first step. i use the vac-n-blow and it really sucks!! often that is all i need. but if i need a cleaner, i usually use my megs all purpose cleaner with the same type of brush that i use on wheels (long handled). you can also use a brush without a handle. i do have some others for carpet stains, but am blanking on them... in cans

cloths- microfiber, and quality = the only way to go imo. i do use some old rags for engine, and exhaust work. for drying, the mf is again my first choice (big blue type). for the leather i use mf pads.

brushes- as above, i use several brushes, but my "go to" brushes are all long handled. be careful with the wheels- they are clear coated so treat them as you treat the paint. wheel brushes are o.k. but dont go too stiff.

vinyl- vinylex, 303, raggtopp for vinyl are all good choices. the seats are not the only leather and vinyl products are not for leather, as you mentioned.

I really like Cockpit Premium for the interior vinyl, plastic, and instrument panel. It leaves a true matte finish.

for wheels, the daytona or ez detail brushes are a good bet.

303 is great for the top.

cockpit premium for the interior bits.

Folex for the carpet cleaner. lowes and home depot carry it.

zep super degreaser for the engine bay. home depot sells it. zep spray bottles are nice too. use the 303 to dress all the rubber and plastic bits under the hood too.

good clothes can be bought from our sponsor, detailersdomain. enter s2ki in the discount code and get 10% off.
their glass towels are the bomb!

glass cleaner is sprayway. target, walmart, and sams club sell it. my favorite glass cleaner.

good luck and I hope this helps!
