Bass and Ubetit: Good God, the idea is to do LESS work, not more!! In the time it takes you to get out the blower start it up and do the whole car, or to turn off the water, take off the nozzle, turn on the water, re-wet a car that's already wet then wipe it down ANYHOW, you could have dried your car and your neighbor's Surburban!!! ONE pass of the Big Blue, no wringing. I've done it twice. At the very most, one ringout. Period.

I also am a recent convert from the chamois and other methods. The only other thing I MIGHT do would be to water-blade the trunk and hood first.

 

I got this thing off of the TV once called "The Absorber" and it works really good. All you do is ring it out and you never have to replace it.

 

PAKSHAK was running a special deal this past winter, free shipping and a couple of free 24x24 inch 70/30 Microfiber towels with an order of 16x16 towels. They also work great for drying. I'm using a chamois right now to dry the car and when it wears out, they'll be replaced by the 24x24 PAKSHAK towel.

 

Wanabe, I've been uisng the big blue towel since they came out with it. I've almost worn mine out. I like to sheet the water off my car and then finish it up with the towel.

In order to make it QUICK to sheet the water off the car, I have quick disconnects on everything on the hose and a quarter turn shut off valve, as well. I turn the valve off, pop the nozzle off, turn the valve back on and sheet the water off the car. It takes about 20 seconds to get ready. Sam's Club also has a very neat, high end nozzle that sells for about $13. It's so nice that it stays in the garage instead of on the end of the hose.

Next time my S2000 crew gets together to wash cars, I'll have a "dry-off" and report results.
