it depends on what you expect them to do---

masking and spraying is cheap and doesnt last if the prep isnt good

pulling the car apart so that only metal is left is the best but by far most expensive- and they never seem to get everything back in the right place the first time!!

better question is best places to get estimates-
but thats prob a question for your local forum...

david-
o.k.- i didnt do a good job at trying to answer...
could be $150 to $6,000 ++ (i have seen prices way higher, especially where the car is stripped down to metal only)

depends on the prep, and quality that you are looking for.
also depends on where you live-
in vegas, i would assume that you can get a decent job for around $4k-
but thats just a guess. since you are changing colors, they will want to know just how far you want to go with the color change-
paint just what shows?
what about when someone opens the doors? (paint inside the doors?)
under the hood?
inside the gas cover?
etc.

the more you paint the more expensive-

really best way is to get at least a coupla estimates... harder part is deciding who to even get the estimates from.

are you wanting to repaint cause the car is beat up, or cause you just wanna change the color?
(if its beat up, we can help you fix it)

Hey David,

For a good job you're looking at anywhere from 3k - 6k for the entire car. I toyed with the idea of doing this a while back, but unless you're made of money, it really doesn't seem worth it. And as wanabe said, do you really want some body shop monkeys tearing apart your beautiful car to repaint it? Things never get put back together properly and they usually end up screwing up other parts of your car during the process. I mean for 6k, you could have a supercharger and a hardtop - two mods that would be much appealing to me.
